Discover our exceptional Gatina Nyeri Coffee, a Kenyan masterpiece with a rich flavour profile of redcurrant and raspberry, seamlessly transitioning to a smooth black tea finish. This high-quality coffee, sourced from the Gatina Washing Station in Nyeri County, is available in limited quantities, making it a rare and special find for coffee enthusiasts.Nestled between the slopes of Mt. Kenya and the Aberdares Mountains, the Gatina Washing Station, run by the Mugaga Farmers’ Cooperative Society, is the source of this exquisite coffee. The station's 790 members, over 30% of whom are women, cultivate their coffee on small plots, ensuring attention to detail and quality in every step of the process.
From handpicking the ripest cherries to meticulous sorting, pulping, and overnight fermentation using water from the nearby mountains, every stage is handled with care. The coffee is then washed, soaked, and laid on raised drying beds for a period of 7 to 15 days. This process ensures that each bean reaches its optimal flavour potential.
Our Gatina Nyeri Coffee is not just a beverage; it's a celebration of Kenyan coffee-making tradition and the dedication of the farmers who bring this delightful experience to your cup. Enjoy the unique taste and story of our Gatina Nyeri Coffee, a testament to the art of fine coffee.
